Here is Nellie my 1973 1200 bug. I bought her in Aug 2006 on ebay and drove her home all the way from Newcastle but have not really used her much since due to problems with the brakes which to be polite were crap. I have since fitted new drums,shoes,wheel cylinders,master cylinder,blasted and painted the backplates and replaced the brake pipes (the long one from the master cylinder to the T piece was a nightmare). I had her MOT'd last month and she passed after a few minor adjustments and have driven about 50 miles since but the brakes are still pretty poor, maybe they will improve once the shoe's have bedded in a bit more, if not I will think about fitting discs to the front. Whilst I was fitting the new brake pipe inside the car I re-painted the floor pans with hammerite and fitted a new black carpet set. The inside is fairly standard, I have fitted a cd player inside the glovebox and made a custom parcel shelf with a pair of 6x9 speakers and I am now starting to make a pair of speaker pods to fit under the dashboard to balance the sound towards the front. The outside as you can see is also fairly standard with the addition of a set of empi 8 spoke alloys and the luggage rack.
